Meet Captain Joel

Captain Joel Wier holds a 200-ton license and grew up in Tallahassee, Florida, fishing the local waters. He began charter fishing at the age of 14, working part-time during summer breaks.

By 17, he was fishing full-time out of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. At 19, he moved to North Carolina to fish out of Oregon Inlet, N.C.. At 26, he took his first job as a captain on a private boat, fishing around the world in destinations such as the Pacific, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Bermuda, Mexico, the Bahamas, and the U.S. East Coast.

After starting a family and having three children, Captain Wier returned to Tallahassee and founded Reel Integrity Charters. He continues to run a private boat full-time while offering charters when he's home.
